Boston observations

There's an axiom in Boston that you can tell the make up of an area by whether it has more Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts, the Starbucks indicates it's more wealthy while the Dunkin Donuts means it's more working class.
Well, today I was in Government Center and needed a coffee fix. So I went into the Dunkin Donuts since someone gave me a gift card to it. When I stepped outside I looked over and realized that there was a Starbucks right there. As in right there, they are literally right next to each other. I thought that was quite funny and rather revealing.
It also turns out that they have a farmer's market in Government Center, which I perused a bit before I got on the train. Mostly local farms and some flowers, so I might stop by there if I need fruits and stuff rather than go to Shaw's.
I'm also glad I didn't end up going to Northeastern University, which I happen to live right next to and need to walk through to get to the T. It is huge, as I thought, and it seems they blew a bunch of their money on Husky stuff this year because it's their mascot. I stepped off the T today and saw that they have a giant inflatable Husky on top of one of the buildings. Um... okay. There's also the small fact that Northeastern cost a good twice as much as Suffolk and gave very little financial aid, but the inflatable Husky was a bit much.
