I was pretty flabbergasted that it got brought up at all, because the entire time I've been in school it's been presented as a bad thing used by bad people that's been used to justify bad actions. Not to mention that it's complete and utter bullcrap.

Maybe not coincidentally, the kid who brought it up actually described himself as having no morals at the beginning of class. And in that same class we had people who have obviously never actually been bullied because they seem to think that all the victim has to do is "fight back". Uh...
