Other sights from the MSPCA

I remembered that I have a Flickr earlier, so I put some photos up on there.

First, probably the most notable is a cat that made me laugh out loud when I saw her. Now, as a refresher our two cats in Western Mass are Jesse and Stella, who look like this:

So imagine my astonishment when I walk into the cat room and see this girl:

My first thought was "She looks like Jesse and Stella's freaky lovechild!" It's the "torn stocking" on the back left leg just like Stella that really sold it.

The cat, by the way, is named Scratchy and in terms of personality pretty much sounds and acts exactly like Jesse too, which is to say a complete queen bee. She paid attention to me for a bit and then wandered off to do something else. Because it's so hot and humid even with the AC most of the cats were in some state of flopdom.

Then there was this:

Followed a few minutes later by this:

And as far as non-kitties go, it seems I still couldn't escape Jesse!

I tried to get my hand in for scale with limited success, but this rabbit is enormous. And very very soft.

.... That bunny. I want him ;3;

He seemed really sweet, and the description said he was part Flemish Giant, which get even bigger. Oh yeah, and the most amazing thing about him is that he was found as a stray in Boston. Can you imagine a whole colony of those things living out there?! (Granted, he was born in captivity but was probably abandoned, but still)

Meeep, I'd worry about them trying to deal with city roads. Though I haven't heard of feral rabbit populations before .... ;)

My friend keeps rabbits, and they're tiny compared to that fella. Here's hoping he finds a good home!

As I said above, apparently the bunny was found as a stray in Boston. I can't imagine what it must have been like for the person who found him (he was born in captivity, but still).

"Scratchy . . . I am your father."

LOL, that conjured up the image of an epic lightsaber battle between two fat cats. They'd probably just give up after about five minutes and go to sleep.

One thing they warned me about with this guy was that if I picked him up wrong and he decided to kick he could do some serious damage to my ribcage due to how big he is, so I just let him be.
