Let me rant about pants for a minute

I'm starting to go seriously batty because of this. I managed to confirm that I lost about 10 pounds over the summer, and consequently am a size 10 when I was previously a size 12. And trying to find new stuff is driving me absolutely freakin' bonkers because the new stuff? Doesn't fit right. I've now found three different places with the same problem, the pants ride up in the front and are supremely uncomfortable.
What. The. Fuck. Did everyone making women's pants collectively go crazy at the exact same time? I'm not that unusual of a body shape (though having petite legs on a not-petite upper body makes things interesting), but I am looking at petite pants an they're still making these things that do not sit right. It is not comfortable to have that much pressure on your crotch. What were they thinking?!
