Go through the list and check off the titles you have watched. For our purposes, "watching" a title means that for TV and OVA series, you have to have seen at least one episode all the way through. For one-shots, you have to have seen the whole thing. At the end of each genre category, add up your sub-total. At the very end, add up the sub-totals to come up with your grand total. If your grand total is 80 or over, congratulations-- you are an obsessive anime watcher!

As an extra note: not all the titles listed here are great, and some are even steaming piles of crap. Titles on the list are here because they are either 1) genuinely good, 2) insanely popular, 3) good examples of the genre, or 4) just plain notorious. Good anime obsessives should be able to watch series with any of those qualities.

Cat attack!

So the new cat (currently known as Toby, but likely to be renamaed) is home and he is possibly the most affectionate animal I've ever seen. He's been sitting next to me for about half and hour and hasn't stopped purring since. Bringing him home was uneventful, though it was funny when I walked in, he saw me and instantly started meowing as if to say "Get me out of this joint!" I sat in the back of the car with him on the way back and he was very calm. Stella has been sniffing under the door and was yowling for a bit, probably to psyche him out. I'm wondering if I should take him upstairs when I go to bed so he can stay with me. He's giving me this look that's going to make it hard to leave him even when I have to eat. Agh... so cute!

And apparently the procedure is to keep him in the back room away from Stella (the other cat) for 30 days.

30 days?! As if. I give him until tommarrow until he breaks out. And he's making me sleepy because of his purring and his warmth.
