I think Bonnie Raitt must have been an early influence on me, since my dad would play her music when we were driving. I like to think this firey redhead had a positive effect on my attitude and was one of several strong willed women I was exposed to at an early age. This is also a profoundly sad song in both the concept and execution, one of my favorite love songs ever.
