As much of a pain in the ass as it is to pay $269 a month for insurance after they hiked up my premium from $234 (though I'm going to appeal that) I was happy to have it when a check for $137 arrived today to compensate me for the wages I lost after I smacked my head. Took a while, but it definitely makes things easier. I wasn't planning on having to
use said insurance ever, but I'm glad it's there.
I also feel like a dope for not realize that tomorrow is Mother's Day until about 4 in the afternoon today. For some reason I had it down for the 23rd. But tomorrow we're meeting my grandmother for lunch.
I've also fallen in love with Mozilla Sunbird, a little sister program of Firefox that works as a calendar program. It's actually easy to use and pretty intuitive, so I'm very much liking it. Leto the computer's holding up well after a month and I think I've got Vista down. We ended up putting Norton on after the McAfee that came with it turned out to be a
trial and I wasn't willing to shell out that much money for it since we already had a Norton subscription from Hermes, and I like Norton better. I'm still looking for a good open source anti virus program for when this subscription expires but haven't found one yet.
I also installed a
Neko in the spirit of pointlessness. It just kinda runs around the screen, but it's cute.
