Gay Unions sanctioned in Medieval Europe, historian says

So Massachusetts wasn't the first to do it, and that makes me very very happy to learn. ^_^

I especially liked this line:

"'I suspect that some of these relationships were sexual, while others may not have been," Tulchin said. 'It is impossible to prove either way and probably also somewhat irrelevant to understanding their way of thinking. They loved each other, and the community accepted that.'"

This morning I opened up Yahoo! and saw on the front page that Alberto Gonzalez has resigned, and I think some people on the MSNBC news site comments summed up my feelings best:

In newsrooms all around the country I could sense people collecting bets on when he'd leave. Now my comment about him from March seems pretty prescient (especially with my comment about the Queen song). He actually lasted longer than I thought. It does seem like this administration is trying to set a record for the number of resigned officials.

It was rather amazing that on the news site there was not one positive word for Gonzalez, the most my dad saw was people claiming that this is another Democratic witch hunt, but any support for Gonzo (as one person dubbed him) was nill. We're certainly seeing history, but I guess only time will tell how this administration is remembered.
