David Gray's releasing a new CD? Sweet!

Even better? He's gonna be in Boston August 17th and 18th, with Ray LaMontagne?!

Consider me there!

The only way that could be a better combination in my opinion would be to have Rufus Wainwright too, but I already saw him live in February. He's actually going to be in Boston on the 3rd, but I don't want to overdo it and I haven't yet seen David Gray live, though it's been on the bucket list for a while.

Still, if I can go you bet your ass I will!

[And note to mom and dad, if we want to try to conspire a way to do this together, we can]

Today I came across a project of ours called Highlander Estates.

There are two big folders for it, but we all know...

There can be only one!

(I had to.)

As I was leaving work today it was just starting to drizzle, and I had stupidly left my umbrella in my gym bag. I figured I'd be okay as long as the train was quick.

Naturally, it wasn't, and by the time it came up to the street it was a downpour. I muttered "crap" to myself and walked as fast as I could back to my apartment, but I still got soaked to the bone. I dried off and threw on the Moose pajamas (which have more or less become my default "Screw the outside world I'm staying home tonight" attire), but my clothes are still dripping and it's nearly an hour and a half later. Bleh. It also totally sapped my energy, but hopefully I'll have enough after dinner so I can pack.

Speaking of dinner, as I was walking back through the downpour I found myself imagining tomato sauce and garlic bread, so that's what I'm going to make, and I have just enough garlic bread left to do it.

Today at work however I finally finished one of my big projects, which was putting 10 cardboard boxes worth of plans for our developments in their respective folders. This isn't as easy as it sounds because I also have to scan them, and if you've ever seen architectural plans you know that's not so easy because many of them are huge. All I had to do was scan one page that identified it, and if anyone ever needed to look at them full plans they could just look in the folder, but I still had to do a lot of photocopying and printing out the coversheets so they can be scanned into our database. I don't know exactly how many plans I scanned, but considering we have about 500 projects in total and these plans seemed to average about 30 to 40 a box I'd guess I did around 300. Yikes. Once I get back I'll have to sort them out by who has what folder and drop them off, but I no longer have to drag down boxes from the top floor.

Tomorrow's my volunteer training shift with the MSPCA (not to be confused with the orientation), and then after that I'm headed down to Cape Cod to meet up with my parents for the week. And then I can relax.

Wow, that soaking did take a lot out of me, since it's barely 9 and I feel ready to fall asleep already.

I'm 20. We don't go to bed at 9, we're lucky if it's by midnight!
