I've known for a while that I have some spacial issues, especially trouble grasping just how much stuff is in certain units of measure (hence when I use a kitchen scale for most things) but yesterday when I got my PeaPod delivery I was shocked to see just how much meat I'd actually purchased. There's, uh, a lot. By which I mean about nine pounds in total. Which is good because I got it at a good price and I probably won't have to buy more any for quite a while, but it was still a bit shocking. I almost wish I'd taken a picture of it all on the counter as I was putting it away. Luckily through some ingenuity and experience with Tetris I managed to fit it all into the freezer, and I even told Angelo that he's welcome to some of it since there is a lot.
I have to run down to the MSPCA in a few minutes, so I'm using the slow cooker Mom gave me to try a recipe that should be done by 8 tonight. I'll see how it tastes since I found it online, and there's one website,
Taste of Home, that has
a neat little feature where you can put in certain ingredients you have and see what pops up. Seems to be handy for those situations when you have a couple things that you don't know what to do with.
