Now when I saw the headline that was funny enough in itself, but a few minutes later I got an email from a friend with some more information. Mainly, that it’s not just any umbrella, but MY umbrella. Or rather the same model.
The kasana strikes again. I think I’ve mentioned how I nearly got in trouble with Amtrak because of it, since I had shoved it into my suitcase so only the handle was visible, and the conductor looked like he was ready to go DEFCON 1 until I explained that it was fake and showed it to him. There’s a reason I usually carry mine without the case, mainly so it's clearer that it's not an actual weapon.
And as this shows, apparently I'm perfectly justified in doing that! At least I haven't had a SWAT team called in because of mine yet.
