I've been working on a fanmix for Dune by Frank Herbert for the past couple of days and I finally finished it. I'm linking back to this on several communities to avoid typing it multiple times. :P My dad and I listened to it yesterday and talked about the books, so it was worth it just for that.

Menouthis - ES Posthumus
Arrakis. /Dune. The roughest, most dangerous planet in the Empire. Viciously inhospitable but indispensable, where water is precious enough to kill for and the Fremen are pursued by their Harkonnen overlords like game. But it has The Spice, the key to the Empire.
Blow me Away - Breaking Benjamin
Arrakis speeds up natural selection, so only the strong have a chance of survival. These are the Fremen, and they are deciding factor that can shift the power of the Empire.
Boadicea - Enya
The women of the Bene Gesserit work behind the scenes, controlling generations of breeding. But their exact intentions are unknown, even to all but a few of their own sisters.
Peril - Halo 2
Power in the Empire is divided in three; The Emperor and his Sardaukar warriors, the Bene Gesserit and their behind the scenes string pulling, and the Spacing Guild's sole ability to transfer cargo and people safely. All three vie for control of Arrakis and the invaluable Spice found on it, the substance with allows one to see the future and shape destiny.
Who's got my back Now - Creed
Paul Atreides came to Arrakis with his father as the new Duke, but he has been betrayed by everyone he ever cared about, and now he must fight for survival in the deserts of Arrakis with his mother Jessica, and the seeds of a revolution are sewn. Liet Kynes has a dream for what Arrakis can become if terraformed, but even being in service to the Emperor is not enough to save Liet's life.

Theirs is a life among grandeur, political intrigue, all founded on the memory of their fathe, which has become a relgion of millions who make the pilgrimage to the once shunned desert planet, now blooming with the beginnings of greenery. Arrakis has been changed, but more is happening than merely restoring water to the surface.

Leto and Ghanima were born awake, pre-born as they are called, with both the memories of their ancestors stored within them and the knowledge that they will continue what their father left unresolved.
Ordinary - Train
Leto, bearing his late grandfather's name, knows he is the inheritor of Paul's legacy as both Emperor and wearer of the mantle of Kwisatz Haderach, though the price for saving humanity may be giving up his own.

Alia's head is not her own. Like Leto and Ghanima she has thousands of voices within her vying for attention. She wants to be a loving wife to Duncan, her husband and love of her life, but she is beginning to lose her sense of just where Alia ends and the others begin.

The family of the diposed Emperor has not given up easily, nor have the Bene Gesserit, who still seek to control the Kwisatz Haderach. Word travels fast in the Empire, and even the slightest hint of conspiracy spreads like wildfire through the planets.

Alia's control slips further, and desperately she makes an alliance with the strongest and least likely voice in her head: Vladimir Harkonnen, the former duke of Arrakis, who died by Alia's own hand during Paul's takeover. The line between the two begins to blur, and Alia's sanity begins to waver.

Leto has brought humanity into an era of peace, with the little remaining Spice firmly under his control. This Arrakis is different from that of his father, but fundementally the same. Leto's Golden Age will save humanity for a time, until once again the cycle has to repeat anew.
