Where does one find a good lackey when you need one?

I wonder what it means to have a dream about not being able to fall asleep... Whatever it was caused by, that sucked. And then Stella-cat woke me up to get out. That's the one thing I don't like about her being in my room overnight, as she promptly wakes me up at 5 to go out.

Other than that, not much going on. Had another day of work, and found out the kid at the gas station (whose name I forget but I know is Irish) is taking a vacation until February. He seems nice, and kinda reminds me of a kid I used to go to school with. I wish I had that much time off if it wouldn't totally kill me money-wise.

I've also been putting a lot of energy into figuring out what manga to donate to the school library. I essentially have arranged this single-handedly after a suggestion from Mr. Fricke and tomorrow in club we'll be discussing which ones we want to donate. I imagine with our budget we could easily buy up to 30 or so titles with the school's discount. The new librarian who's my contact is absolutely psyched since their budget keeps getting slashed, and just about the only thing they have is Fullmetal Alchemist 1, which last time I checked was stolen. I took Ben and Amarkis to B&N Monday to generate a rough list of what we think should be there. I also have people willing to donate ones they don't read anymore for free, which could add up to 20 on the ones we would buy.

I did put an announcement put in that was trying to be funny. I made references to twins (of which we have a set), 8 year old looking seniors and egocentric presidents who grow mushrooms in an "emo corner" as a way of making fun of ourselves and promoting the fact that we're watching Ouran High School Host Club, but instead of "referring" the lady who copies the announcements put "catering" and ruined the joke, changing "I'm not referring to the members" to "I'm not catering to the members." I didn't think my handwriting was that bad. T_T Luckily people seemed to get it, and said it was funny. The lesson: type it out next time. And I just realized for the president (OK, copresident, but I'm essentially in charge) I do most the legwork. *sigh* I need lackeys.

Maybe after school I'll do some of the last XMas shopping I need to get done and do something fun.

Though some snow would be nice... Please, nature?

Haikus, my new hobby

There's something strangely appealing about the haiku format, it's like you can summarize what you want to say so well but it's also a challenge. In something I'm writing *shameless plug* I keep using them at the beginning of chapters to help me remember what the hell I'm doing when I'm writing and I think adds interest. I also introduce later that writing and sending them is actually a running game between the main character and his cousin. Anyway, this one is by far my favorite as of yet, one I think both insomiacs and or feline owners can relate to:
