I've tamed the Jesse-beast
Jul. 9th, 2007 09:43 amAt least for now. He's sitting next to me on the couch, and earlier was on my lap (which was very nice since I'm having some er... cramps still) where he was being a nice kitty. I think he might have sprained his foot or something earlier, since he was noticeably limping earlier. I also pulled something that looked like a thorn out of his paw, though I'm not sure if that's why he was limping. Just to be safe I gave him a baby aspirin yesterday, and was glad that the tricks for giving dogs medicine work on cats too.
It was kinda funny on Saturday night when he came up to my door 4 times and starting pawing it so I'd open it, walk around, and then walk out. I eventually got fed up with him and stopped letting him in, but it was almost like he was checking that we were still there. *strokes him* Jesse-beast is so possessive of his humans...
We also sort of have a joke that under the cat exterior there's a perverted old man, and I almost wonder sometimes if that's why he doesn't sleep on my bed. It's odd, he own everything in the house except that, as if he's purposefully keeping away from it. Stella-cat sleeps on it, but I don't think it's a territory thing (he's on her couch right now, and they seem to share my parent's room) so I'm not sure what it's about.
And now he's purring. Hopefully he'll stay here with me for a bit.
(And yes, the icon is intentional. Just check out the eyes on both the cat and the kid)
