Big giant meh
Jan. 25th, 2008 08:23 pmDecided not to go to that drag ball in Westfield tonight, just because I was tired and didn't want to drive all the way down there in the dark. Plus most of the college students are coming back right now, so it would just be asking for trouble on the roads. And I just wasn't in the mood.
Went into the Plant today, and as I was changing my clothes I heard someone say "God f-ing dammit! This pisses me off!" from outside. But believe it or not, that was a good thing, since the only person who does that is Jon, our old manager, who aside from his tendency to do that is a very nice guy. I never found out what inspired that comment, but it likely had to do with the state The Plant has fallen into since he's been gone. As nice as Jeremy is he's just apathetic, and it shows.
Jon was showing the guy who'll take over at least for the short term the ropes, and while this guy seemed nice enough it might be confusing since his name's Adam... which is the same name as The Chump. When I found this out I told Jon that they can be Adam and The Chump respectively just to avoid confusion. :P Jon was also really sweet when I walked in and he told Adam the new guy that I always pull my weight (and then some). Glad to see someone recognizes that, and coming from Jon (who I actually like) it actually means something. :)
Oh, and the folks at PBS have been raiding my music collection again. They just played part of a Red Hot Chili Peppers song over a commercial, specifically "Snow (Hey Oh)". I'm not serious about them getting into my music folders, but it does seem like they keep using songs I own for those things. At least someone down there has good taste. ;)
