Three down, one to go.
I also got the paper for my social problems class back with an A. I'm glad, since I'm not sure it's what the professor had been looking for, and even though it wasn't exactly what he thought he said he liked it. Apparently not many people use analogies when writing these things, which is a damn shame. I specifically talked about how if you poll a roomful of people about whether they're a good driver nearly everyone will raise their hands, and so people think that the "bad drivers" aren't them as an example of how we view social problems and deviancy as not being because of us individually.
I was also astounded that it only took me 10 minutes to take the test. It was all stuff we'd seen before (some slightly rephrased) but that's a record for me. I liked the class, but I know I probably slacked off a bit since it was largely material I'd covered in other classes due to having had more sociology classes before and this being an intro class (that nonetheless I still had to take, stupid transfer credits). Still, he was a decent teacher and it was worth my time.
The Women and Crime final the other day also probably turned out okay (the teacher had mercy on us by allowing us to get up to 40 extra credit points to balance out the parts we may have missed since he knows a lot of people had trouble this semester) and one of the papers for that class also got an A. To my great embarrassment one paper I turned in a few weeks ago was missing the final paragraph so it cuts off abruptly, making me think that I accidentally deleted it right before I printed it. That'll teach me to not check it after it's printed. He allowed me to send it in with the last paragraph reattached, however, so it's all good.
Now the Civil War and Reconstruction final. This'll be the tough one, though once this is over I officially don't have to think about this crap any longer.
