Again with the snow
Feb. 1st, 2011 07:28 pmMaybe I'm showing my New England stripes, but all the fuss about the (admittedly shitton) of snow is "Bah, so what?" Not much impresses me when it comes to snow after Petrozavodsk, Russia in February. It is cool watching it pile up outside the window, and this is only round 1 of 2, and tomorrow is going to royally kick our asses.
It was pretty funny when I got to work today and one guy came out of the bathroom (my desk is right in front of the men's room) when I was taking off my coat and said "You actually came in? You're brave!" because it was such a mess out there and the T is backed up as all get out. But considering I'm in walking distance and I have decent boots with good treads I don't really have an excuse, and I did have a class this morning.
What was even funnier is a little later when I called someone his reaction was to wonder just how I managed to get to work since I was in Boston, and my answer was again that I walked. Hey, I'm tougher than I look. >:)
