Fuck it. I'll do it.

So my attempts to convince myself not to get a cat have backfired spectacularly, since first I researched how much boarding one would be and discovered it was pretty reasonable, then I ran into a neighbor who has a dog who told me the landlord didn't put up a fight when she wanted to bring in him and her cat, and then I asked the new roommate if he was okay with it and he said it was fine with him.

Basically, I ran out of reasons not to do it and third parties to veto the idea.

I also had a moment of "Fuck it! I'm a month shy of 22, gonna graduate in 4 months, I'll make my own decisions and live with the consequences!"

I also signed up for ZipCar after I discovered that through my school I get a discounted membership, so that's another reason not to (how I'd get it to the vet, etc.) that I can't use anymore.

And Thomas the cat didn't help since last night he was sitting on me and purring, and I even told him that he wasn't helping. I also talked to Darcie with a similar result, and she even said that if I kept talking to her she'd just convince me. I know they make me less stressed to have around, and the next few months are going to be pretty much nothing but stress, so you know what? I'll live with the consequences.
