I don't know what's up with me lately. I'm exhausted right now (though I convinced Stella-cat to sit with me) my tolerance for stupidity is lower than usually, not been getting enough sleep and now my asthma's acting up. In short, I feel like shit.

And yeah, I have All American Rejects running through my head. As far as my head-soundtrack goes this is not a good sign, but certain people I know might want to consider what the lyrics are if they want to know what's going on with me.

Now to watch a gangster movie and forget my troubles for the moment. *puts in Reservoir Dogs*

And ironically (some of you will know what I'm referring to) this was my horoscope:

In the afternoon, drawing, dancing, singing or creating any other kind of art will help you clear your mind and will bring you joy.

THE ALL-AMERICAN REJECTS LYRICS

"Move Along"

Go ahead as you waste your days with thinking
When you fall everyone stands
Another day and you've had your fill of sinking
With the life held in your
Hands are shaking cold
These hands are meant to hold

Speak to me, when all you got to keep is strong
Move along, move along like I know you do
And even when your hope is gone
Move along, move along just to make it through
Move along
Move along

So a day when you've lost yourself completely
Could be a night when your life ends
Such a heart that will lead you to deceiving
All the pain held in your
Hands are shaking cold
Your hands are mine to hold

Speak to me, when all you got to keep is strong
Move along, move along like I know you do
And even when your hope is gone
Move along, move along just to make it through
Move along
(Go on, go on, go on, go on)

When everything is wrong, we move along
(Go on, go on, go on, go on)
When everything is wrong, we move along
Along, along, along

When all you got to keep is strong
Move along, move along like I know you do
And even when your hope is gone
Move along, move along just to make it through
[x3]

(Go on, go on, go on, go on)
Right back what is wrong
We move along

asthma acting up

Asthma flare up and/or treatments can account for all the symptoms you described. Leaves me short of breath, hypoxic and therefore irritable. Everything takes more effort. Having to speak in the first place is exhausting; having to repeat myself is torment. Having said something once in plain English and having another person respond "Huh?" left me ready to snap someone's neck or weep at times (maybe that was the pneumonia episode?). Anyway, just being short of breath will account for those symptoms. All the work of breathing with increased resistance in the lung fields causes our lungs, heart and kidneys to work harder to do the basic metabolic work with less oxygen, increased C02 and exhaustion is the logical outcome. Beta-agonist rescue inhalers can cause irritable feelings.

Could even account for wanting to watch Reservoir Dogs..

If this feels worse than you've ever felt before with asthma, it might be time to rule out other things.

Hope get some relief soon.

I hear you on the not wanting to repeat yourself thing. This isn't the absolute worst it's been, I can still breathe, it's just uncomfortable, but thanks for your concern, and it is odd that it hasn't acted up for a while until today.

I think what's happening is maybe a change of seasons and/or weather patterns, a buildup of other stuff probably contributed. The air around here's been weird lately, and I actually get an air forecast from a local news site that said it might not be good today. Granted, I didn't see it until I got home, but I'll make a note to be a little extra cautious for a while.
