Wow. I actually have a poster of her, but I'd never seen that image. *stuffs tissues into nose to stop the sudden nosebleed* Me? A thing for women with authority? No... Though I do have a thing for Revy from Black Lagoon, and Integra Hellsing... and most of the females in Utena... Ok, I do. XD

Yeah, I love women with authority. As far as entertainment/fandom is concerned, I seem to have a thing for cold-hearted, materialistic, domineering bitches - or at least women who appear to be that way (Juri, Mireille, and Emma Frost from X-Men just to name a few). I don't know why, because I'd never put up with a chick like that in real life, but...damn. I'd jump at the opportunity to be schooled by a woman like that. ;]

I think I'm the same way, but maybe it's because there's such a lack of women like that in other places that seeing one is a change. And really, who doesn't love Juri after we find our her backstory? And besides, she's hot. ;)

XD Indeed. I listened to the audio commentary on the Utena movie and just about cracked up when he said that the final scene "was the sort of thing going through my head as a teenager".

I like Ross as a character, but I think she reminds me too much of myself to really like that way. She's still one of my favorite characters, though. *shrug*

Yeah, just about everyone in that show has issues (understatement of the century) although I once read a fic post-Utena that was really intriguing that involved Juri with short hair. And movie Juri I'd take on a date in a second, which is interesting because both long haired and short haired Juri are really hot IMO.

If you have to work maybe your folks or friends can TiVo or tape it for you? The "cat" will probably want to see it, too.

I think you did mention the cat watching The West Wing, which is pretty funny. Our cats don't really pay attention to the TV except if there are bird noises or other such things on it.

If you still have a working VHS in your house, I can make a tape of the show and mail it to you.. but I know a lot of people have ditched their VCRs and gone all digital.
