This is a mixed day at work. Writing and thinking about new ideas or different avenues to pursue could prove productive; however, actual business actions may not work out too well, providing only limited progress. Be sure to set some money away for your future.
Unfortunately I'm still on vacation time, hence why I'm up this late when I should be asleep. I think I am getting back in the swing of things, albeit slowly.
This now marks the third day in a row I've been working, and tomorrow will make the fourth. As karma would have it my coworker Scot got into a car accident, so I took his shift Monday. He covered for me when I had my accident, so it's only fair. From what I understand he's okay, but it's just a weird lining up of events. I also found the mother load of abandoned change at work, it must be worth about 3 dollars in all pennies. People literally just leave them there when they clean out their cars in piles, so we (the staff) consider them after-the-fact tips, and the home company thinks it's too little to make a differences in their budget so they just let us keep it. I have a change jar I keep, and this will add considerably to it. The last time I cashed it in there was about 15 bucks in there, and it's a habit I picked up from my dad so I always have a little to fall back on. Call it the Irish in me.
I did finally get to work with Jon, our new manager. From what I can tell he's a decent guy, a bit odd on the phone, but very nice in person. I get good vibes from him. I also got decently tipped today, which was nice. And I got a 2 dollar bill in the mail from a polling place I've taken part in. That was nice, though I'd never actually had a 2 dollar bill before. (It has Jefferson on it)
And randomly I've seen a pheasant and two rabbits cross the road this week. They were cute.
