As it turns out the state-wide insurance deduction canceled out the amount they added on to my premium, so I'm actually paying less than what I was before. It's good to know I wasn't totally screwed over. I'm also going to repeal the hike since I feel the accident wasn't over 50% my fault, though it'll apparently take a long time to process. But, if I win I'll get a significant amount of money back, so I'll definitely do it, and the agent even told me that I definitely should. Granted I was going 5 miles over the posted speed limit (I think) but I don't feel that's significantly over. Had I been going 40, different story. And I think I have a decent chance given the road conditions that day.

I also unexpectedly fell asleep this afternoon after I got home. I just lay down for a second, and then *wham* it was two hours later. It's been rainy and drizzly for a few days, so maybe it's a good thing that Stella-cat (who's perched on my lap presently) infected me with her sleep virus.

I also finally got my hair cut yesterday. I'd determined that I really need one when my hair started getting into my eyes as I was driving with the windows down. April, my hairdresser, was funny as usual, and when I got in I asked for her opinion on what I should do with it. I remember way back when I first cut my hair short I said I didn't quite look like Movie Utena then... now let me recant that, down to the ear things (and I was wearing a hat today since my head isn't used to being so cold). I was simply sick of taking care of even moderately long hair, so I just said "screw it". It's taking a while to get used to, but I like it. I wasn't trying to "make a statement" but I know people are going to think that. Which is funny because some of the most heterosexual women I know have hair even shorter. And given how it grows it'll be back to relative normalcy fairly soon, but the shape of it's a bit different.

And I'm now just waiting on the recommendation letter to turn in my GCC stuff. Every time I walk into that school building I feel like someone's hits me with a hammer. I feel ready to move on.
