Another requested FST, this time for one of my pet fandoms, Tsukihime.

Oh yeah, Major Spoilers for the game, so don't say I didn't warn you.

A little boy sees his family slaughtered in front of him, but he's spared out of the whim of one of the murderers, who spares him because he has the same name as his son. So begins the life of Nanaya Shiki, soon to become Tohno Shiki.

And for a time, it was good, the children, the adopted Shiki, the real SHIKI and his sister Akiha played together in the garden, but it couldn't last.

One day it breaks down, SHIKI attacks Shiki, and Akiha, in trying to save him, ties her life to both of them.

Shiki survives, but he's anemic for the rest of his life, and when he wakes up he realizes that he can see death itself. He doesn't take it well.

The being known as Roa takes over the other SHIKI, making him stronger and more violent in the process.

Shiki returns after 8 years to the Tohno mansion, but bits of his memory are missing, memories of a boy, and a horrible accident...

But while Shiki has been living with a foster family, SHIKI has been locked up the whole time, slowly going insane and having his hatred fed.

Shiki starts to realize that there's another side of him, one that doesn't care for things like morality, and whose sole pleasure in life is killing.

SHIKI breaks out, and the first thing he wants to do is take back his sister and kill the person who took over his life and his identity.

Shiki finally remembers who he really is, and who SHIKI really is.

It’s a cold and it’s a broken hallelujah

No matter which ending you get in the game someone isn't happy, be it Shiki or SHIKI. It's only in a non-canon side story that they reach any reconciliation. It's really quite sad.
