All I can say after this week is “Thank God for warranties.” A couple weeks ago I woke up and was reaching for my glasses when I knocked them off and BAM! right onto the floor, resulting in a huge dent in the lens. So I went to the place I got them and found out they were still under warranty, so I could get replacements at no cost to me. I did so and picked them up on Tuesday.
And I now I have a new MP3 player after the last one broke since I paid 8 bucks for a replacement plan. Totally worth it, though I did have to buy a new plan for the new MP3 in case I break that too. I am having bad luck with electronics this year.
In other news, guess who’s broke again? Yup, me, until next Thursday. I already took some money out of one savings account to cover me until next week and I have to save what’s the in other one to pay my taxes, so every time I check my accounts online I feel like I’m looking at a cake I can’t eat.
It seems like one thing they don’t tell you about being an adult is that yes, you technically can do whatever you want, but you’re usually too broke to do it.
Though at least the degree I'll eventually have tends to pay out pretty well, which was one reason I picked it. I was an idiot at 18, but I was at least smart enough to do that.
