Thoughts on Canaan

This weekend I did a marathon of the anime Canaan on Hulu, and I enjoyed it. It's by Type Moon, the same folks who did the games of Fate/Stay Night, Tsukihime and Kara no Kyoukai, and they kept the same elements that made me like those series in this one. Mainly, kickass women, amazing fight scenes and an interesting plot.
And speaking of kickass women, I tweeted that I was starting to get a crush on Alphard (see icon) and was slightly disturbed because she's kind of a terrorist. Nonetheless she kicks ass. And also I'm not offended by Liang Qi, who is a blatant lesbian and totally fucking insane, precisely because she's so insane, and there are some loving girl/girl relationships that cancel her out. She also reminded me of the final bad guy in Kara no Kyoukai, whose name itself is a spoiler, but if you've seen it you know who I mean.
So I enjoyed it, and it was worth a marathon weekend.
Edit: Any references to the Boston Marathon, which was this weekend, were completely unintentional.
