On the mend

After spending the last day or so in various states of unconsciousness and/or medicated I'm glad to say the allergies are clearing up, and unlike two nights ago I actually managed to get some sleep last night. I almost called out of work yesterday, but went in because I need the money and mostly did brainless tasks like printing up scan sheets that didn't require me to talk to anyone because my throat was so clogged up, and it would be kind of hard to talk on the phone when people standing next to me can't hear what I'm saying.

Luckily this probably isn't a sinus infection because it is clearing up, and even though I'm coughing it's a productive cough, which is a good sign, which I had to tell D because she was a bit startled by how much I've been coughing. I've also been making sure to stay hydrated so this goes away faster.

And I had Thomas the cat here to keep me company, which is nice when you feel like crap... except for the part where he kept jumping up to sit in my window and bat at me from behind the curtains. Oh well. Said cat is also hiding in my closet again as I write this. I think he thinks of the closet as a cave.

I also got a response back from the summer internship application I sent out last week, so I'm meeting them for an interview next Wednesday. I would have been far more excited about that except for the aforementioned allergies. Now I just gotta pick something to wear, and debate if it's worth getting my hair cut (I've been growing it out so it's just about shoulder length now)...

Luckily he hasn't done that, as far as I know. D actually house trained him really well since she got him when he was really young, so he's very well behaved, minus occasional Cat Crazies like running around at two in the morning.

Your dad and I have both been coughing like that, too, and it's also clearing up (at least for me) -- first day I haven 't had a sinus headache in quite a while! So yes, I think it's allergies.
