I had another driving lesson today in my grandma's Subaru, and went on the Interstate for the first time. It wasn't that hard, but I was scared at first going that fast though I got used to it after about a minute. It was pretty uneventful, though the Holyoke Mall parking lot is a nightmare no matter what your driving skill is. 0_o I didn't look at one point so that could have been lucky, bu I learned from that. I just need a few more with United Driving School and then I'm good for the test!

I went down there to look at that Best Buy's anime section to see if they had something I've been looking for (the Revolutionary Girl Utena Movie) and while I didn't find it I got the next Gankutsuou that I'd been looking for.

But the most traumatic experience was not the driving, it was something else. We went into Filene's to get something for my mom so we had to wait by the makeup counter. It took all my self control to keep from sprinting out the door as fast as possible when I saw all the makeup and perfume that makes me sneeze. I was afraid someone would grab me and want to give me a makeover, which in my book is bad. Yeah. So that was the most traumatic part of the whole day.

And we might get snowed in tommarrow. Meh. I do live in New England.

I'd heard about this series from various people and seen some of the artwork used on wallpapers so I finally decided to check itout. The main female I saw (I think she's called Saber though she hasn't actually been named yet) looked intriguing, and, I admit, very attractive. ;) Kinda reminded me of Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell with some Final Fantasy's Beatrix thrown in. Granted she's only appeared for a few seconds but I have a feeling I'll like her.

So far we also have one guy who looks like Akio from SKU and a strange girl named Rin who's opposite the main kid. So far the characters all seem mature and realistic as opposed to some of the other leads I've seen lately, and while there's been some comedy thrown in it hasn't detracted as of yet. It seems like it's intended for mature audiences and isn't cutesy at all. I'm watching the second episode now, but so far the animation is impressive (which I think is a given since it's done by Geneon) and the story is interesting. I'll definately keep watching it, and the Opening and Ending themes are very nicely done.

I just managed to whip this thing out a few minutes ago for the anime club assembly presentation. It doesn't have any audio because the stuff I ripped from the actual video got screwed up and I can't think of anything to go with it. And I know the video is screwed up with the motion lines but at the moment I can't help it. Suggestions? I tried to fit this under a minute though it goes over.

Can be found here.
