Freckles, chumpery and flowers

Well, since the sun has been out for a few days my summer freckles are coming back. I don't tan, I either freckle or turn red. This is what happens to us Celtic types.
In terms of work, Lord help me. Today The Chump came in acting bummed out, and told me he had a fight with his girlfriend because she thinks he's selfish (the obvious aside) and I knew I was in trouble. I was quite literally willing to do manual labor in the hot sun rather than listen to him. It's bad enough when he's babbling about politics, but on romance it just gets sad. After I found something to do with myself he went over and bothered Giovanni at the gas station, and I could have sworn that I saw Giovanni do the gun-to-head "kill me now" gesture through the window. I don't blame him.
Also, I may have to kick some 6' 5" ass soon. Cody, our other (very large) co worker, closed last night and did Jack Shit. Really. There was money lying on the counter that hadn't been dropped into the safe, the opening drawer was totally messed up (including about two dollars worth of dimes, which are totally useless to me) it was transparently obvious that he hadn't cleaned the tunnel, walls or windows, and it was generally a gigantic mess that I had to clean up, hence it took twice as long as usual to open. Grr. I did not appreciate that. But I did write a note for our manager detailing exactly what Cody didn't do, so hopefully a higher authority will lay down some whoop-ass.
Though my morning was made when I walked by one of our bushes and saw that one of its flowers had bloomed. Aah... It's amazing what a little thing like that can do. ^_^

Date: 2008-04-22 07:29 pm (UTC)I do understand your frustration. I went about two months working only two days a week devoted to my regular duties at work and needless to say everything in my department went down the drain. D: It's taken me roughly a month and a half to get everything back to where it should be.
