Dear idiots on The Advocate's comment sections:
Don't get mad at the Justice Department for defending DOMA against GLAD's lawsuit. It's their job. If you actually look at their language they are torpedoing their own cause by knocking out their main line of reasoning, so shut up and let the men and women of the Justice Department do their jobs and don't expect them to just drop the case, because they won't no matter how much they disagree with it because it's their fucking job to represent the government no matter how heinous the law they're defending is. Keep in mind that their bosses want to get rid of it, but they don't have the authority to just let the case go through because it doesn't work that way.
I can certainly see why some people, like my dad and Douglas Bailey are in favor of getting rid of the damn comment forms. They just turn into stupid fights with the same dozen people and no one thinks before they post. Plus is shows the further erosion between opinion and news that makes me weep for journalism.
