athenaltenaAh great, Ryu's eye goop is back, so I'm totally justified taking her in to the vet tomorrow. I was honestly hoping that I'd gotten rid of it so a trip wouldn't be necessary, but nope! And she had been looking better, so the fact that it's back is annoying.
But it's not all bad news, because today when I was doing the baby-food-in-eyedropper trick she was quite eager to eat it, and in fact I think she gorged herself a little too much and she's now flopped out against the water bowl as she digests, and her stomach looks like it's ballooned to twice the usual size like in a cartoon (this is normal, btw, not a cause for worry). I feel bad for laughing, but it looks really funny, and it means that she now has some food in her.
I did get Angelo's friend, who lives a few minutes away by T, to tentatively agree to come by if I need to give her antibiotics if I wind up needing them. I also said I'd pay him, but since we don't even know if it's needed we'll hash out the details after the visit. I also told work that I may not come in tomorrow at all just in case, since I have no idea how long this will take.
I am not looking forward to tomorrow, between taking her in via T while trying not to totally stress her out, the amount of money I'll have to pay just to have her seen and somehow trying to get home for the holiday it's not going to be fun. But I have to do it, so I'll just suck it up.
