Brainspill Part One
Jul. 16th, 2007 09:01 pmLove this icon. And I tend to actually do stuff like this with pens/chopsticks/forks etc., so it's even more appropriate. Plus I just happened to get my hair cut today so I looked even more like Shigure as far as the hair near my neck goes in terms of sticking out slightly, though I think I've avoided the "wing head" look as my dad has dubbed it.
Will get back to Marco Polo at some point. I actually have it about 90% done, and am debating putting it up in parts. It's 11 pages long at this point, and I realize that if the entry gets too big it'll crash my inbox (Yahoo hates big entries) so I might split it up on LJ like I did with Chapter 5. I've probably driven a few people nuts with the hiatus, but this is the last chapter and is really just a wrap-up. I already settled the main conflicts, so now this is essentially a reiteration of the themes and everything that's happened. I tend to write like that, and I have no plans to continue with this universe. But will likely have more Kuro/Fay, God I love those two
I think I'll also include an additional brainspill that I've been doing on and off as I'm writing (helps me for some reason) in a separate entry. It's mostly just random notes that are too big/off topic to put in the Author's notes at the end of chapters and the various music I listened to in terms of getting into character's heads/seeing scenes. I guess I can do a sort of fanmix, though whether anyone will find it vaguely interesting is up in the air.
So yeah, probably will split the chapters. The first part is pretty good, but the rest needs some more going over. I'm frankly ready to end this project now, but I'm glad I didn't totally kill that plot bunny before I got the basic premise down.
